Are you an addict to pc games? If you have the craze to play games then you also suffer from its side effects making it easier for you to recognize this condition by yourself. Similar to any addiction, the gaming mania manifests itself as a sudden and constant craving for playing your favorite game when you are away from it. If it were in one’s control then they would even stop eating and drinking or taking toilet breaks from their gaming sessions.

These individuals are truly addicted to their PC games and need to be weaned off slowly. This can be achieved through the practice of selective control. Instead of stopping play altogether, which shall cause a lot of distress and stop you from concentrating on any work, you should aim to increase the time duration between each break. When you get up to stop playing, take a few minutes longer than before. Continue this procedure for a few days and keep increasing the duration slowly.

By the end of the first week, you should have gotten enough control on this addiction to think of a little bit more prolonged separation from computer games. This is the moment to actually practice refraining from playing. It shall be hard for the first two days but after that you should no longer have the urge to play games. You may indulge in playing games once in a while but do not go back to the state of a gaming maniac as it shall become difficult to get de-addicted the second time.
